The short version
- This site sets no cookies. It has no accounts, no login, no forms, and no advertising.
- We count page views in aggregate, without cookies and without anything that identifies you.
- We do not sell, rent or share anything, because there is nothing to sell.
- Two third parties see a request from your browser when you load a page: our host and our analytics provider. Both are named below. The typefaces are served from this site, so rendering text sends nothing to anyone.
You can verify all of this yourself. Open your browser's developer tools, load any page on this site, and look at the network and storage tabs. Everything described here is visible there, and anything not described here would be too.
Site analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless: it does not set a cookie, it does not use browser fingerprinting, and it does not track you between sites or between visits. What it reports to us is aggregate and non-identifying: how many times a page was viewed, which site referred the visit, the browser and operating system family, the device type, and the country.
We use it for one purpose, which is to find out which pages people actually read so that we write and fix the right ones. We do not build profiles, we cannot identify an individual visitor from it, and we do not attempt to.
Who else your browser talks to
- GitHub Pages hosts this site, so GitHub serves every page and, like any web server, processes the connection your browser makes, including its IP address, in order to deliver the page and protect the service.
- Cloudflare serves the analytics script described above.
- One page, the CordovaOS product page, asks the GitHub API for the current release number so the page is never out of date. That request comes from your browser to GitHub.
Links leaving this site go to services with their own policies, including SDCStudio, Stripe for payment, GitHub, Substack and LinkedIn. This policy covers this website only.
What this policy does not cover
SDCStudio is a separate product with accounts, stored work and its own privacy policy and terms, which apply there rather than here. The same is true of the practitioner credential and settlement services offered inside it. Nothing you do on this website creates an account or a record with us.
If you email us
Writing to contact@axius-sdc.com means we hold your message and your address for as long as the correspondence is useful. We use it to answer you. We do not add you to a mailing list from it.
Your rights
Because the site keeps no identifiers, there is generally no personal data of yours for us to retrieve, correct or delete, and no profile to object to. Where we do hold something you sent us, an email for example, write to contact@axius-sdc.com and we will tell you what we have and delete it on request. If you are in the EU, the UK, or a jurisdiction with similar rules, those rights apply and this is how to exercise them.
Children
This site is aimed at professional and technical audiences and is not directed at children.
Changes
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the effective date above moves. We will not quietly add tracking and leave the old text standing.
